Municipal swimming pools are always one of the most popular places when summer arrives in Zaragoza. No wonder, the high temperatures in the city make citizens look for a way to combat the heat . Now, before visiting one of the 22 public outdoor swimming pools that the Aragonese capital has, we should know what the regulations of the Zaragoza City Council are for them. Thus, we will be able to answer such frequently asked questions as: can you smoke? Can I bring food from outside? Can my dog enter?
CAN YOU SMOKE?
For smokers , this is always the most frequently asked question . And, although there are certain doubts on the street, the answer for now is clear. Yes, you can smoke in the swimming pools of Zaragoza , although exclusively in the grass areas . This means that you cannot smoke in water areas, in covered spaces, in pergolas or on bar terraces. In addition, the Zaragoza City Council has an awareness campaign for smoke-free spaces with the name “healthy pools” to avoid this practice as much as possible.
CAN I GO WITH MY DOG?
Although the city has more and more pet-friendly spaces , the truth is that municipal swimming pools are not one of them. In this sense, it is prohibited to introduce dogs or other animals (with the exception of guide dogs).
CAN FOOD BE BROUGHT IN?
It is another of the big questions. Especially for those pools that have a bar or restaurant service . The regulations do allow in this case access with food and drink . The only requirements are that it is not carried in glass or earthenware containers and not taken out on the grass or in living areas. In the municipal swimming pools of Zaragoza, children under 14 years of age must always enter accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. However, each adult may not enter with more than four minors in their care unless they belong to the same family unit. From that age onwards, minors will be able to access alone.
CAN SEVERAL PEOPLE ACCESS WITH A SINGLE 10-USE VOUCHER?
The 10-access vouchers can be used by several people at the same time as long as they belong to the same age group .
