Zaragoza Airport registers the best May in merchandise traffic since 2019

Zaragoza Airport has closed the best May since 2019 with more than 16,200 tons of merchandise, which represents a growth of more than double compared to the same month of 2023, entirely of an international nature.

The number of operations follows this line of growth, with a total of 958 movements (+22.3%) . Of the landings and takeoffs recorded, national ones are the most numerous, with 741 (+18.2%), while international operations have reached 521 flights (+24.6%).

As far as passengers are concerned , a total of 60,579 travelers passed through the airport last month (+11.3%) . Of these, 59,875 (+10.3%) flew to or from a Spanish city and 37,416 (+20.4%) were international passengers.

ACCUMULATED JANUARY-MAY

In the first five months of the year, freight traffic registered more than 65,600 tons , which is 35.3% more than on the same dates last year.

The number of operations stood at 3,900 between January and May , representing an increase of 2.9% compared to the previous year.

For its part, the number of travelers who passed through the airport in that period was more than 262,000 , which represents a decrease of 3.1% compared to the same dates in 2023.
