There have been many months of rumours, comments and insinuations about the venues for the 2030 World Cup , but it was not until this Friday when the RFEF officially confirmed the chosen cities. And yes, Zaragoza is included. The Nueva Romareda will be one of the 11 Spanish stadiums in which the biggest football tournament will be played between June and July 2030, from which GijónMurciaVigo and, the big surprise, Valencia, which did not arrive in time to present its candidacy, have finally withdrawn.

This was made public this Friday by the RFEF , which has announced both the stadiums and the sub-venues, following the work carried out over the last two years by the Executive Committee for our country of the joint candidacy with Morocco and Portugal , in which the Government is integrated through the CSD.

In order to define the venues, all possibilities have been analysed, including the option of increasing the number to 13, an option that must be taken unanimously by the three federations and which was proposed last June by the CSD, after almost two years of joint work. The RFEF has worked intensively on this option, conveying it to its candidacy partners, but both the Moroccan Federation and the Portuguese Football Federation have considered that FIFA regulations must be respected, which establish a maximum of 20 venues, which means that Spain will have 11 venues.

Thus, Madrid (Santiago Bernabéu and Metropolitano), Barcelona (Camp Nou and Stage Front Stadium), Bilbao (San Mamés), Zaragoza (La Romareda), San Sebastián (Anoeta), Las Palmas (Gran Canaria),
Seville (La Cartuja), Málaga (La Rosaleda) and A Coruña (Riazor) have been confirmed. In addition, in Portugal,
Lisbon (Da Luz and José Alvalade) and Oporto (Do Dragao) are included, and in Morocco, pending confirmation,
