Hail and chaos in the storm in Zaragoza

The heavy rains left several areas of the city collapsed, the tram was suspended and several bus lines were affected.

Several areas of Zaragoza have been seriously affected by the storms , including hail, that have devastated the Aragonese capital on Tuesday. In fact, the tram between Avenida de la Academia and Campus Río Ebro has been affected by the rainfall. Likewise, lines 41, 43 and 55 of the city’s buses have been diverted.

The images in various areas of Miralbueno , La Bombarda and the Torres de San Lamberto development have been especially striking .

In the latter, several trees have fallen, others have broken and in both cases they have caused damage. The most striking, a large pine tree has collapsed on top of a vehicle in the back street. But it was not the only one, because in the pool area and in front of the park, there have been two more that have fallen.

The terraces were also seriously affected , with broken shutters. The drains were unable to handle the water in the middle of the storm. The hail could be picked up with the hands and the rain left several centimetres of a layer.

This was seen in Miralbueno , devastated by the gale and hail . The images were shocking, because you could clearly see how the wind caused the hailstones to go in various directions. Of course, also affecting vehicles.

This is how it is hailing right now in the Zaragoza neighborhood of Miralbueno

LA BOMBARDA, DELICIAS AND MONTECANAL

La Bombarda was not spared , also with significant damage. The same was true for Delicias . In fact, on Avenida de Navarra it was practically impossible to circulate due to the water, as is usually the case during summer storms.

Several interventions have also taken place in Montecanal , with the Zaragoza Fire Department intervening on numerous occasions.

Proof of the seriousness of the matter has been the suspension of the tram service between Avenida de la Academia and Campus Río Ebro for just over two hours. As well as lines 41 (Avenida de la Ilustración with Ibón), 43 (without entering Juslibol) and 55 (Avenida de la Ilustración with Ibón).
