Renfe is putting tickets on sale this Friday for the two new direct AVE trains in each direction, without the need for a transfer, to travel between Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid, Córdoba and Málaga starting on 16 September. Tickets are on sale through the usual Renfe channels.
These two new travel options improve communication between Catalonia, Aragon, Castile-La Mancha, Madrid and Andalusia without the need to change trains in Madrid. Furthermore, one of these two new services will mean an additional frequency for Zaragoza, meaning that the Aragonese capital will have a new train to travel from Madrid and the rest of the cities and to Barcelona.
From September 16, the schedules of these new trains are as follows:
- The AVE service leaving Zaragoza at 7:33 a.m. will arrive in Málaga at 12:36 p.m., making intermediate stops in Madrid (9:10 a.m.) and Córdoba (11:32 a.m.), among other locations.
- In the opposite direction, the train will leave Malaga at 17:57 , stopping in Madrid, from which city it will depart at 21:10 heading to Zaragoza (22:26) and Barcelona (23:55).
With these new AVE services, the weekly schedule for travel between the capital of the Costa del Sol and Barcelona will be 39 direct trains , which will mean an offer of more than 14,000 seats per week . In addition to these connections, there are different travel options with a connection of two trains and sold through a single integrated ticket.
NEW FREQUENCIES FOR ZARAGOZA FROM MADRID AND TO BARCELONA
The commissioning of the AVE from Malaga will also mean adding a new frequency to the Madrid-Zaragoza and Zaragoza-Barcelona routes, which will close the daily schedule of arrivals and departures in these directions, improving the connections of the Aragonese capital at the end of each day.
Thus, the Madrid-Zaragoza route (and vice versa) will have 35 daily frequencies, while the Zaragoza-Barcelona route will have 51 services per day.
