AI, business accelerators, cinema and the metaverse, at the II Audiovisual & Virtual Hunters

The Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon is organizing the second edition of the conferences that brought together more than 100 creators in Zaragoza last year. The future of District 7, the new city of cinema, is one of the future projects that will take to the stage at the Auditorium on September 23.

Next Monday, September 23, the Zaragoza Auditorium will host the second edition of Clada Virtual & Audiovisual Hunters, a conference organized by the Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon, with the support of IAF, AREX and CEEI, which will bring together professionals from the sector to discuss the latest advances and trends at an international level.

The event, divided into two parts, will feature five round tables in the morning session where experts will share experiences and debate what the future holds for the sector and its applications, ranging from fashion to museology, including e-commerce and AI, which already allows the creation of not only small pieces, but also audiovisual works (as is the case of the first short film generated entirely by AI).

The event will bring together professionals from the sector to discuss the latest developments and trends.
The event will bring together professionals from the sector to discuss the latest developments and trends.

There will also be special chapters on video gamesaudiovisuals on networks , new narratives, podcasts or sustainability in productions and even for emerging projects for the sector, such as the new film city in Zaragoza, District 7. In the afternoon, the challenges of the present will take over in Audiovisual Hunters, to talk about the role of women, film financing or co-productions, in a space that will once again have French creators as guests at the networking sessions.

POTENTIAL OF AUDIOVISUAL AS AN INDUSTRY

The conferences demonstrate, once again, the potential of the audiovisual industry and were at the time the first project of the Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon, and of the more than 55 institutions and companies that form part of it, including Cartv , Zaragoza Film OfficeChamber of Commerce and the main knowledge and training centres of the sector in Aragon, such as the University of Zaragoza, the University of San Jorge, CPA Salduie or Itainnova.

Alongside them and as the driving force of this entity, there are large, medium and small companies, which wanted to take the reins of the revolution of a sector that has great opportunities in Aragon, as the regional government has recognised. A sector that creates culture, but which is industry and which has a path as wide as the applications of audiovisual, which range from cinematographic narration to health, education, museums or leisure. In a world in which almost everything is audiovisual, it is essential to focus on the future and generate a strong industry that bets on companies from Aragon. Even more so in such a sweet moment for our sector, in the creative and industrial aspects. The data make it clear. Among the five largest content producers in the general television network, there are two members of the cluster.

Of the 20 films that started the Oscar race, 20% were by Aragonese directors. The creators of the land shine in the great sphere of Las Vegas that went around the world; but also in the field of post-production, where Aragon has authentic magicians. We don’t even have to talk about Buñuel or Goya to demonstrate this talent, although it is still more alive than ever. And it is vindicated in the success of Aragon as a film setting and as a cradle of projects, such as District 7, which aims to make a leap in technology, in training and as a business opportunity.

The Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon, the second with AEI category in all of Spain, is working on several European projects to take advantage of a window of opportunity of which Aragon must be fully aware.

Opportunity is a door that opens and the figures help us to know that this is the time to take a further step. The figures from the Audiovisual Sector Report 2023, prepared by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service through the State Secretariat for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, seem to indicate that the audiovisual industry is consolidating itself as a productive sector in the country, with figures such as the increase in employment in audiovisual activities of more than 93% in three years, or the increase in income for Social Security.

CONTENT

These panels are made up of professionals from both national and international levels, some of them representing the main companies in the audiovisual sector in Spain, who will show us how AI is a powerful tool for post-pro, creating virtual sets, dubbing or even creating a complete audiovisual piece. The aim is to offer participants a clear vision of the trends that will mark the direction of the sector.

In addition, as part of the day’s activities, there will be an official presentation of the Distrito 7 platform, a new audiovisual ecosystem that aims to transform Zaragoza into a reference point for the industry. Distrito 7 was created with the aim of promoting the creation of content and facilitating collaboration between companies, professionals and entities in the sector, consolidating the city’s position on the international audiovisual map.

With Clada Virtual Hunters, the Audiovisual Cluster of Aragon reaffirms its commitment to the development of the sector and its commitment to innovation and the exchange of knowledge between professionals. A path that will soon lead to the presentation of the Aragón Audiovisual brand.
