Free entrance to the Amusement Park on Halloween or Christmas, attending a play at the Principal, concerts at the Auditorium and even diving in the Aquarium or learning Kendo, a martial art with a bamboo sword. These and countless other activities will be possible in the months of October, November and December for young people in Zaragoza between 14 and 30 years old thanks to the municipal programme 12 Lunas. This Wednesday, its autumn edition was presented with proposals for all tastes, from ceramics workshops to horse riding, climbing, self-defence, concerts or excursions.
The activities can be found on the website www.zaragoza.es/sede/portal/12 lunas and also on the new Instagram account that the program is launching (12 lunas zgz joven). There will be more than one hundred activities, among which some “star” activities stand out, such as witnessing the filming of the short film “Te dejo el mar” first-hand or visiting the studio of the painter Eduardo Lozano.
There will also be “intergenerational activities” in which young people will be able to visit the almost extinct Zaragoza, attend a play with discussion and a theatre workshop for beginners. The “classics” are also highlighted, that is, those activities that have been very popular with the public since the program was created. An example of these are the “round trip” excursions . On this occasion, it will be to Las Pasarelas de Calomarde, to the La Hoz ravine, to the old town of Belchite, the museum of the mummies of Quinto or La Casa de La Moneda in Madrid.
New features include the Kendo discipline (for those over 18) and a golf baptism that will allow those interested to get started in this sport with all the equipment included. In addition, the programme will also include a fun Humor Amarillo (for those over 18), Indiana Jones or “City of Shadows” escape rooms, archery, laughter therapy, yoga and mindfulness, magic workshops or virtual reality.
“There are currently more than 5,500 young people registered and signed up on the app and what we want is for them to enjoy their free time with activities that they could not do in any other way than through this municipal programme,” explained the Councillor for Youth of the Zaragoza City Council, Ruth Bravo. She also pointed out that the summer edition of the 12 Lunas programme was a “great success” with 7,557 applications for 2,225 places.
The activities will take place between October 18 and December 22 and registration periods for each of them will be held in three bands: Until October 10 for the activities of this month, from October 14 to 24 for the activities of November and from November 11 to 21 for the activities of December. All activities require prior registration at www.zaragoza.es/sede/servicio/actividades/juvenil/.
If there are enough places available for the activity, the interested party will appear directly as ” Registered “, while if there are more applicants than places, they will be allocated by lottery and the status will be “Pre-registered”. To be able to access the activity, it is necessary to present a virtual ticket that will be received 24 hours before midnight on the day on which the activity is to be held.
It is also worth remembering that the maximum number of registrations per edition is 12 activities and that it is an essential requirement to have an account on the Open Government Platform of the Zaragoza City Council.
