Pemamek, a world leader in automation solutions for heavy industry, has opened its southern European branch in Zaragoza , with the aim of consolidating its expansion in Spain, Portugal and South America.

Pemamek has “pressed” the button that marks the beginning of its new stage: the opening of its only delegation in Spain, located in Zaragoza . Personalities such as Sari Rautio, Ambassador of Finland in Spain, Javier Martínez, Director of Economic Policy of the Government of Aragon, Carlos Gimeno, Minister of Economy, Digital Transformation and Transparency of the Zaragoza City Council, and Juha Mäkitalo, Global CEO of the company, took part in this event.

During the day, various presentations were given by Pemamek partners and clients, who accompanied employees and managers in this celebration. In addition, a demonstration of the brand’s latest technological developments was offered in a showroom space that will remain permanently installed at this headquarters, allowing visitors to try out the latest technology in robotic welding.

Peter Senz, commercial director of Pemamek Iberia, commented: ” Zaragoza is a strategic centre in terms of logistics and business. Therefore, we have had no doubts about where to establish ourselves to consolidate our growth in the markets of southern Europe and Latin America.”

The ceremony included a toast to an opening that symbolises Pemamek’s active presence in southern Europe. The new headquarters, located in the Polígono San Valero de la Cartuja Baja, plays a fundamental role as a nerve centre for commercial, logistical and technical operations in both Spain and Portugal.

Founded in 1970, Pemamek is a well-established Finnish company specialising in the automation of industrial welding processes, covering sectors such as wind power, naval and logistics, with a particular focus on the manufacture of robotic machinery. The company is currently present on five continents and has more than 420 employees worldwide, a figure that will be expanded with the incorporation of the new staff in Zaragoza.
