A group of tour operators from China have visited the city this week to promote it as a destination within their tourist circuits. This stop in the Aragonese capital, which has allowed them to discover the main tourist attractions, is part of a longer trip through the Aragonese Community, managed by the Government of Aragon and the Spanish Tourist Office in Canton, in collaboration with the City Council.
This action is part of the strategy that Zaragoza Tourism is promoting this October to strengthen tourism promotion, both nationally and internationally, positioning Zaragoza as the World Capital of Garnacha , the city of two cathedrals and the place where Goya learned to look.
In addition, from this Friday until next Monday, a group of national “influencers” will tour Zaragoza and other corners of Aragon to spread their experience on social networks. This initiative, in collaboration with the Government of Aragon, seeks to visualize the region’s tourist offer in the digital sphere.
Likewise, Zaragoza Tourism participated yesterday in a workshop aimed at more than one hundred tour operators from the Basque Country organized by the Government of Aragon in the city of Bilbao.
On the other hand, Zaragoza Tourism is also present in the promotion in Latin America promoted by the Government of Aragon. During this month, meetings have been held with agents and tour operators from Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. In this last country, Zaragoza is being promoted as the World Capital of Garnacha in the town of Mendoza.
Furthermore, from 29 to 31 October, Zaragoza Turismo will participate in the “Jornadas Directas LATAM” organised by Turespaña in Barcelona, where there will be meetings with travel agents and tour operators from Latin America. And until 5 November, Zaragoza and its two cathedrals will be the protagonists of an advertising campaign on newsstands in the centre of the city of Marseille (France).
These actions are added to those carried out in the first half of October, such as the promotion with travel agents in Holland and Belgium or the attendance at the professional fair in Rimini (Italy). In addition, bloggers from the south of France visited Zaragoza in an action in collaboration with Renfe and Irish journalists discovered the city, in a visit organised by the Spanish Tourist Office in Dublin.
