Next year, the MotorLand Aragón speed circuit will have a full calendar of activities that will once again place Alcañiz in the world elite of motorsports. A total of 19 events will complete next year’s calendar, surpassing the 17 that have taken place in 2024.
The Minister for the Environment and Tourism and President of MotorLand, Manuel Blasco, attended the circuit’s board meeting today, where the programme was approved. “We are increasing the number of events that will be held at MotorLand this year,” said Blasco, who also announced that this year “improvements will be made to the asphalting of the access roads” that will be financed by the Teruel Investment Fund. “It will be a very complete calendar,” added the circuit manager.
The MotorLand speed circuit will be dressed up for the two world championships that will visit it in 2025, MotoGP and WorldSBK. The Aragon Grand Prix will take place from June 6 to 8, being the eighth round of the MotoGP calendar with the names of Marc Márquez, Jorge Martín and Pecco Bagnaia in search of the world champion title.
As for the latter, the world championship for production-derived motorcycles will land from 26 to 28 September to dispute the tenth round of the season with a new chapter of the battle between Toprak Razgatlioglu and Álvaro Bautista as the main attraction. From 25 to 27 July, MotorLand will host the fourth round of the FIM JuniorGP, a competition that includes European championships and the international category, JuniorGP, which serve as a stepping stone for MotoGP and WorldSBK.
MotoStudent will also be back, a biannual event that brings together students from different universities around the world to compete with motorcycles they have made themselves. The event is scheduled for October 17-19.
EUROPE MEETS IN MOTORLAND ARAGON
The Teruel circuit is included in the GT Winter Series calendar, a championship that is contested on the best circuits in southern Europe during the first months of the year. This will be the first competitive event of the year at MotorLand on March 1 and 2. From September 6 to 7, the Aragonese track will host the Ultimate Series Cup, a European endurance event with high-end cars and prototypes in which MotorLand will be the only Spanish event of the season.
The Racing Weekend will land at MotorLand from 29 to 30 March, featuring a combination of various motorsport disciplines. The Spanish Superbike Championship returns to the Aragon circuit’s calendar from 27 to 29 June in one of the most important national championships in the world, and the Spanish Speed Cup will be held at the Alcañiz circuit from 12 to 13 July, with equality as its banner.
The International Karting season will begin on February 22 and 23 with the Aragon Slalom Championship, which will test participants in a competition of skill and speed in which drivers must overcome a series of obstacles in the shortest time possible.
