Zaragoza City Council has launched a new promotional video to highlight the city’s many attractions during the Christmas season. Using the magic of a Christmas star that performs impossible turns, the production seeks to capture the attention of residents and visitors, highlighting the unique atmosphere and activities scheduled until early January.
The 21-second video shows some of the most notable visual elements of Christmas 2024. This year, the holiday features the light corridor project, which runs approximately 3.5 kilometers from Sobrarbe Street to Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta.
Highlights include the illuminated Stone Bridge, the large red bow adorning the façade of the Town Hall, the iconic Plaza del Pilar, and the illuminated tree in the Plaza de Aragón, designed to evoke the neural connections discovered by Ramón y Cajal. The tour culminates with a striking scene in the Parque Grande, where two monumental angels and a corridor of illuminated arches welcome passers-by.
The audiovisual piece concludes with a direct reference to the official Christmas poster in Zaragoza, which also pays homage to the children’s carousel in the Plaza del Pilar. This detail symbolically connects with the merry-go-round that appears in this year’s promotional image. Throughout the video, key concepts of the campaign are reinforced, such as emotion, excitement and the ability to surprise, values summarized in the final slogan: “Zaragoza Ilusiona. Let this Christmas surprise you.”
Since its premiere this morning, the video has begun to spread through the official channels of the City Council, with special emphasis on social networks. The aim is to reach both national and international audiences, increasing interest in visiting Zaragoza during the festivities and at any time of the year, when the city remains a destination full of charm.
