Zaragoza has received 1.2 million tourists between January and November, which represents an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year, 10% more than in the same period in 2023. This growth suggests that 2024 could mark a new record in the historical series of tourism in the city. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), overnight stays have also experienced a notable increase of 6.6%, reaching 2 million.

Until November, the growth in travellers is more than double that registered in Spain, which reflects that tourists are looking for destinations with an attractive monumental and cultural offer, such as that offered by the Aragonese capital. Hotel occupancy in Zaragoza is growing even ahead of the increase in Spain as a whole, especially at weekends.

Foreign tourists have a lot to do with these good figures, as they have grown by 14% and represent 30% of the travellers who visit the city. Tourists from France are the ones who choose the Aragonese capital as their destination the most, followed by Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and China, which has grown by 60%. These data show that the promotional actions carried out in other countries, such as the south of France, are yielding results in attracting visitors.

As for the month of November, the number of registered travellers in Zaragoza grew by 15% compared to 2023, three times more than the increase in Spain (5.4%) in the same period. The same is true for overnight stays in the Aragonese capital, which increased by 9.7%, compared to the 5.28% increase recorded in Spain.
