NTT Data centralizes its generative Artificial Intelligence services in Zaragoza

The company closed 2024 with the hiring of 145 more employees, exceeding expectations and reaching 600 workers.

The technology sector continues to be a leader in Aragon and the network continues to expand. This is the case of the technological consultancy NTT Data, which has two centres in Zaragoza, and closed 2024 with the hiring of 145 more employees, exceeding expectations and managing to reach 600 employees in the region. In addition, the company has reinforced its commitment to generative artificial intelligence and from the Aragonese capital it offers service to national and international clients.

In this regard, the general manager of NTT Data Spain, Víctor López-Barrantes, has stated that the company is committed to Zaragoza “as a strategic hub for innovation and technological talent” . “From here, we promote the development and implementation of artificial intelligence with a responsible approach, ensuring that its impact generates real value for companies and society. We believe in AI that transforms, but always with ethics, transparency and commitment ,” López-Barrantes emphasised.

There he recalled the strong commitment of the regional government to “make Aragon one of the leading communities in technology .” “We want to continue being a Community that attracts data centers and companies like NTT Data, which generate a highly innovative ecosystem and generate quality employment,” he said.

President Azcón also stressed the importance of investing in training in Stem subjects . Not in vain, this university course has started “with 50 more places in Computer Engineering and 20 more in mathematics at the University of Zaragoza”. Regarding vocational training, “Aragon has 14,000 students this year who are studying a cycle linked to technology,” he added.

PARTICIPATION IN THE WAVE 2025

In this context of commitment to Aragon, NTT Data will have a prominent participation in the second edition of the technological congress The Wave , which will be held from March 19 to 21 at the Zaragoza Conference Center. Rika Nakazawa, the group’s global director of Commercial Innovation and one of the 50 most influential women in the United States according to Forbes, will give a presentation entitled “What happens when AI and sustainability meet in a bar? “

The company will also present innovative projects in virtual reality and health at The Wave 2025 , as well as giving talks on soft skills in the ‘Guest Classroom’ space, reaffirming its leadership in emerging technologies and professional training.
