Aragonese talent shines at the Goya Awards

The 2025 Goya Awards ceremony has left its mark by putting Aragonese talent in the spotlight, recognized for its excellence in different categories of Spanish cinema. Javier Macipe ‘s debut film, La estrella azul, which started with eight nominations, has won the awards for Best New Director and Best New Actor (Pepe Lorente), while Arantxa Ezquerro and Javier Alvariño have also been awarded Best Costume Design and Best Art Director, respectively, for La virgen roja, by Paula Ortiz.

The 39th edition of the Goya Awards will go down in history as one of the most equal in recent years in terms of the distribution of awards. The 47th edition won one statuette in the categories of Best Film, Supporting Actor and Actress (Salva Reina and Clara Segura, respectively), Production Direction (Carlos Apolinario) and Special Effects (Laura Canela and Iván López Hernández).

The Infiltrator, which was up for 13 nominations, has won two, Best Film and Best Leading Actress, for Carolina Yuste, who has won the second Goya of her career.
