Ski resorts offer 645 kilometers of snow this weekend

A total of 24 Spanish ski resorts are open, according to the snow report from the Tourist Association of Ski and Mountain Resorts (Atudem)

A total of 24 Spanish ski resorts are open this weekend with 644.5 skiable kilometres on offer , 30.5 fewer than the previous weekend. 

According to the snow report from the Tourist Association of Ski and Mountain Resorts (Atudem), the biggest offer this weekend is at the Lleida resort of Baqueira Beret (Lleida), with 130 kilometres and a maximum thickness of 85 centimetres; followed by Formigal-Panticosa (Huesca), with 112 kilometres and a thickness of up to 130 centimetres; and Sierra Nevada (Granada), with 60.4 kilometres of slopes and a thickness of 70 centimetres.

Next are Astún-Candanchhú (Huesca), with 57 kilometres of slopes and a thickness of 150 centimetres; Cerler (Huesca), with 55 kilometres; Masella (Girona), with 43, and La Molina (Girona), with 40.

Also opening are Boí Taüll (Lleida) with 31 kilometres, Port Ainé (Lleida) with 22.2, Espot (Lleida) with 20 and the Teruel stations of Valdelinares and Javalambre, with 11.8 and 10.8 kilometres, respectively.

Vall de Nuria (Girona) and Tavascán (Lleida) offer 7 kilometres. Vallter (Girona) has 6 skiable kilometres, Alto Campoo (Cantabria) has 5.27 this weekend, Madrid Snowzone offers 2.2 and San Isidro (León) has 2.1.

In La Rioja, Valdezcaray is 1.35 kilometres long, Madrid’s Valdesqui is 1.2 kilometres long and Puerto de Navacerrada, also in Madrid, is 0.92 kilometres long. In Salamanca, La Covatilla is just 264 metres long.

Finally, those looking to enjoy Nordic skiing can do so at the resorts of Llanos del Hospital (Huesca), which will have 11.5 skiable kilometres, and in the Navarrese resort of Larra Belagua, with 6.5. This weekend the Lles resort in Lleida and the Puerto de La Ragua resort in Granada will not be open.
