The President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, highlighted this Wednesday, at the opening of the
“The Wave” conference, the importance that the €37 billion in technological investments announced during the current term will have for the development of the autonomous community : “They will make us a more competitive region and multiply the productivity of our companies.”

“When we travel outside our homeland, we’re asked what’s happening in Aragon, why this autonomous community is able to attract the largest investments not only within Spain , but from any European territory. The answer lies in its capacity to generate energy, its commitment to technology, and its productivity,” he said.

He also indicated that Zaragoza ‘s new technology park, DAT Alierta, is now “a reality that companies from around the world want to join,” and that they are also interested in Walqa and Technopark.

Furthermore, Aragon is investing in “technological training, both in universities and in vocational training, to respond to the thousands of jobs that will be created in our community.” He also highlighted the regional government’s intention to “make Aragon a benchmark in the application of Artificial Intelligence in government.”

‘THE WAVE’ MULTIPLIES BY THREE

According to Jorge Azcón, “if we had to summarize what this congress will be like over the next three days, it would be ‘The Wave times three.’ Not surprisingly, in this second year, we have tripled the number of attendees, surpassing 10,000 registrations, we have tripled the number of presentations, and we have also tripled the number of sponsors,” he listed.

For all these reasons, he encouraged participants to “take advantage of these days to seek ideas, alliances, collaborations, and also to generate new opportunities and investments.” “I invite you to make the most of these days, with that smile and joy that characterize us Aragonese,” he concluded.
