Aragon will promote its delicatessen products with the help of 24 food companies in Madrid

They will be present at the 38th edition of the Gourmets Show, between April 7 and 10, with the collaboration of Aragón Alimentos

A total of 24 Aragonese food companies, fourteen more than last year, will be present at the 38th edition of the 
Salón Gourmets, which will be held in Madrid from April 7 to 10. They will be participating in the event with the collaboration of Aragón Alimentos, which has provided them with a 288-square-meter space where they will not only be able to showcase their products but also demonstrate how they are used in the kitchen.

“This event is a magnificent opportunity to showcase not only Aragonese food heritage, which is incredibly diverse and high-quality, but also its remarkable capacity for innovation, exemplified by the new consumption formats and culinary creations that those who visit the Aragón Alimentos stand will be able to enjoy. These 
three days are the perfect combination of tradition and innovation, two fundamental ingredients for the development of Aragonese gastronomy, which already enjoys great prestige in Spain,” says Amparo Cuéllar, Director General of Food Innovation and Promotion.

ARAGON FOOD SPACE

In addition to the exhibition area, the Aragón Alimentos space also has a second zone dedicated to entertainment and showcooking events, which will host an intense program of activities over the three-plus days of the event.

A breakfast featuring organic Aragonese products will kick off the program of activities on Monday, April 7. That same day, Origen Aragón, an association that brings together a dozen Aragonese designation of origin and protected geographical indication regulatory councils, will be presented. It will offer a tasting of its members’ products, including lamb from Aragón, Teruel ham, pink tomatoes from Barbastro, oils from Somontano and Bajo Aragón, Teruel pork, Calanda peaches, and black truffles from Teruel.

In addition, Origen Aragón will also present the Food of Spain program. This will include a cooking show led by Aragonese chef Antonio Palacios, a member of the Aragonese Chefs Association.

PROGRAMMING

On Tuesday, the main focus will be on the gastronomy of the province of Huesca. Throughout the day, visitors to the Aragón Alimentos stand will be able to discover foods as diverse as Guara cheeses and chocolates from the Pyrenees, as well as a selection of products such as sausages, rice dishes, and sweets made in the Alto Aragón province by Huesca Alimentaria.

Meat products and Pyrenean trout will also be on offer . All accompanied by a wide variety of Somontano DOP wines.

Teruel’s gourmet products will take up a large part of Wednesday. A presentation of Teruel black truffle products in the morning, and a tasting of caviar and grilled sturgeon from Sarrión accompanied by black truffles will be the focus of a day where you can also enjoy rice grown at the highest altitudes in Spain and the culinary possibilities offered by a fruit like the apple.

Cheeses from Biota (Zaragoza ) and Perales de Alfambra (Teruel) , where Aragon’s most awarded cheese factory at the 2024 World Cheese Championship is located, along with Ternasco de Aragón, will put the finishing touch to Aragon’s presence at the Salón Gourmets.

The companies and organizations that attend the Gourmets Show under the umbrella of Aragón Alimentos are: Catering 2000, Almazara Artal, Comarca Cinco Villas, La Despensa de Barbastro, Truficas, Perla de Sarrión, Huesca Alimentaria, Botularium, Regulatory Council of the DO Aceite del Moncayo, La Tartufería, Bodegas Aragonesas, Arroz Brazal, Caviar Pirinea, Fribín Foods, Di Mori Black Truffles, Aceites Noguero, Regulatory Council of the DOP Somontano, Belenguer 1918, Grandes Vinos, Gardeniers, Chelats Sarrate, Orchard Fruit, Ternasco de Aragón and Meat Professionals.
