Dinópolis has had an exceptional Easter, with a very positive balance both in terms of visitor numbers and growth compared to the previous year. From Saturday, April 12th to Sunday, April 20th, the Teruel paleontological park received a total of 13,842 visitors, representing a 30.51% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Taking into account the other venues that make up Territorio Dinópolis, the total number of visitors rose to 16,603, 17.63% more than during Holy Week last year. The busiest day was Good Friday, April 18, when the entire Territorio Dinópolis welcomed 3,119 people, of whom 2,725 visited the main park in Teruel alone.
ORIGIN OF VISITORS
In terms of visitor origin, those from Madrid stand out (15.87%), followed by residents of Barcelona (13.36%), Zaragoza (12.80%), Valencia (11.89%), and Tarragona (4.83%). By autonomous community, the ranking is led by Catalonia (20.86%), followed by the Valencian Community (18.76%), the Community of Madrid (15.87%), Aragon (15.70%), and the Basque Country (8.58%).
One of the most striking images of this Holy Week was the Pascual-Alquézar family, who arrived from Barcelona aboard a Jeep themed after the legendary Jurassic Park vehicle. They parked it in the “Tierra Magna” area next to the reproduction of the dinosaur skeleton Turiasaurus riodevensis, for the enjoyment of other visitors.
Looking ahead to the coming weeks, Dinópolis and its locations will open their doors next Monday, April 21, and from Thursday, April 24 to Sunday, April 27. In May, the park will remain open from Thursday to Sunday, adapting to the demand for weekend tourism and the upcoming long weekends.
