THE SOMPORT TUNNEL, THE LONGEST IN SPAIN
The Somport tunnel has established itself as the most extensive underground road infrastructure in the country. A TUNNEL THAT BEGINS IN SPAIN AND ENDS IN FRANCE
The Somport tunnel begins in the province of Huesca , in Aragon, and ends in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in France. It is a key infrastructure within the international corridor that links Zaragoza with Pau . This underground passage is used by both passenger cars and freight vehicles, making it a strategic route for trade between the two countries.

THE LONGEST TUNNELS IN SPAIN

The Guadarrama railway tunnel , with a length of 28.4 kilometres, is the longest in the country and a key element in the high-speed connection between Madrid and Valladolid .
In the urban area, the Serrano tunnel in Madrid, with 3.8 kilometres, is the longest underground tunnel in a Spanish city, optimising traffic in one of the busiest areas of the capital. In addition, the Viella tunnel , with 5.2 kilometres, is essential for the connection between Catalonia and Aragon, guaranteeing access to the Aran Valley region at any time of the year. These infrastructures not only improve connectivity and reduce travel times, but also contribute to road safety and the economic development of the regions they pass through.
