The Spa Train leaves for Alhama de Aragón: how to travel on this historic train

The Train to the Spas will leave on April 20 from the Delicias Station in Zaragoza and once in Alhama there will be a guided tour of different attractions

There are few trips more relaxing than those that have pleasant hot springs as their destination. In Aragon there are a good handful of spas with healing waters to enjoy, one of them being Alhama de Aragón. The Blue Train of the Zaragoza Association of Friends of Railways and Tramways (Azaft) will leave there in just a few days (next April 20) . In Alhama de Aragón he will meet with the travelers of the Train of the 80s of the Association of Friends of the Madrid Railway.

The Train of the Spas will leave the Delicias Station on Saturday, April 20 at 9:15 a.m. , it will stop in Casetas and arrive in Alhama de Aragón before 11:00 a.m. For the return, the Spa Train will depart from Alhama de Aragón at 6:35 p.m., stop in Casetas at 8:00 p.m. and arrive at Delicias Station at 8:12 p.m.

On the tour you can enjoy a trip aboard a historic train along the old railway line that connects Zaragoza with Madrid, traveling along the Jalón River. Especially notable are the landscapes between Ricla and Calatayud.

Once the Spa Train arrives in Alhama, the gardens of Termas de Pallarés and the Alhama Spa will be visited, where the Baño del Moro y de la Mora, from the 11th century, will be shown through a guided tour. Once in the center of the urban center, we will visit the Church and the Palace House.

After the visit, there will be free time to eat, even to do some thermal activity. For those who are interested in using the outdoor thermal lake of Termas Pallarés , you can enjoy bathing in the only thermal lake in Europe during the time that the Blue Train is in the town.

PRICES OF THE SPA TRAIN

Tickets for the Spa Train can be purchased on the ALSA website. The price of the ticket varies depending on the car in which you decide to travel. The price of the trip for adults starts at 25.95 euros and for children from 19.20 euros.

There is also a “Belle Époque” promotional rate available with a 10% discount that does not allow changes or cancellations. Children up to 3 years old who do not occupy a seat do not pay a ticket. Mandatory travel insurance and a guided tour are included in this price. Azaft members have a 15% discount on the base rate.
