With an investment of more than $110 million (more than €100 million), the Saica Group announces the construction of its second Saica Pack plant in the United States. The company will build a new corrugated cardboard plant in Anderson, Indiana. The announcement was made following final approval by the Board of Directors a few days ago.

Construction is expected to begin in May 2025 and commissioning is expected during the fourth quarter of 2026. Once construction is complete, Saica expects to create more than 50 full-time jobs during the first two years of operation, and more than 100 once the plant has completed its start-up phase, a few years after commissioning.

The announcement was made following final approval by the Board of Directors a few days ago.

Designed for future growth, the new facility will cover nearly 32,500 square meters and is designed to produce more than 110 million square meters of corrugated packaging. The site will include manufacturing, converting, and production areas, along with a warehouse and office space. The plant is also connected to a rail line that allows for unloading paper reels, reducing transportation costs. This site will also serve as a backup plant for customers already served by Saica Pack Hamilton.

Susana Alejandro: “This investment is proof that we are moving forward with our plans in the Americas.”
