Proof of this is the thermal lake in question, which is neither more nor less than the largest in all of Europe. Located in Alhama de Aragon , a town of just over 1,000 inhabitants, in the Calatayud region, its waters have medicinal properties that have been recognized for centuries.

Termas del Pallarés: a two-hectare thermal lake in Zaragoza

Located south of Zaragoza, just two hours from Madrid and close to Calatayud and the Monasterio de Piedra, this oasis of well-being is located on a property of almost 70,000 square meters, which belongs to the Termas del Pallarés spa.

It is a backwater of crystal-clear waters with a diameter that ranges between 80 and 140 meters , its two hectares of extension making it the largest in Europe. Its size is such that it even has two small islands inside. Its depth is 1.5 meters on average , with all the water renewed every 32 hours.

You can swim in this lake, but also the spring area, the therapeutic water jets or the bubble area are ideal for relaxing. In addition, there is a thermal mud area where you can put your feet in search of greater well-being.

Its hot springs have medicinal properties

The thermal waters have medicinal properties and were declared of public utility in 1860 . These waters of medium mineralization, bicarbonated, sulfated, calcium-magnesium and slightly radioactive, with therapeutic properties are the main condition of attraction for tourism.

In general, specialists recommend them for joint ailments , respiratory conditions , muscle contractures and also for those who need to increase blood flow while acting as comprehensive analgesics.

How much does the entrance to the Pallarés Hot Springs cost?

The entrance to the Termas del Pallarés has an affordable cost to spend per day, with different access categories to spend the day.

It must also be said that tickets are valid during the entire opening hours of the thermal lake from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the summer season. While the rest of the year it is from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
