Almost 800,000 people have already passed through the Plaza del Pilar, the epicentre of Christmas

The Christmas Market has attracted the largest number of visitors with 550,000 since November 29

Although for some it may seem like we have been in Christmas for a little over a month judging by the presents, the hustle and bustle in the streets and the Christmas lights that were turned on on November 29, the reality is that the first days of family gatherings and festivities proper have not yet arrived. Whatever the case, two days before Christmas Eve, the atmosphere is already noticeable these days in Zaragoza.

As every year, the Plaza del Pilar has become the great attraction for the many, many visitors who did not want to miss the illumination and the magic of one of the most emblematic places in the city. In fact, since the opening of the Christmas Market and the rest of the attractions in the square, almost 790,871 people have passed through it.

The Christmas Market has welcomed 550,000 visitors since 29 November. With its craft stalls where you can lose yourself among waffles, churros, sausages, crafts, gifts and aromas, the Ferris wheel and the ecological ponies and those bright lights, it has become the favourite place to experience the most magical time of the year.

As for attractions, the Nativity scene (one of the largest in Spain with 100 life-size figures) has received 225,000 visitors in the almost month it has been open . The ice rink has received 10,015 people and the sled slide 5,856, according to data provided by Zaragoza City Council. These correspond to the visits registered up to this Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
